ICAI Self Paced Module Details | Registration & Process | CA New Course Scheme

ICAI has introduced ICAI Self-Paced Modules in CA New Course Scheme for 4 subjects which are compulsory to clear with 50% marks to appear for CA Final Exams. ICAI ICAI Self-Paced Modules are completely online and do not require a specific schedule. You can complete them at your own pace and have full access to the content provided in each module.

 

ICAI Self-Paced Modules offer educators a range of benefits, including the ability to access professional development from the comfort of their own homes without incurring travel or accommodation expenses. These modules can be completed and revisited for up to six months after purchase. Additionally, they cover a variety of hyper-focused topics that are not typically featured in traditional IB professional development workshops and events.

The ICAI Self-Paced Module, also known as the home-based test, is an online exam that candidates can take from the comfort of their home or any other location through remote proctoring.

You can find information about the upcoming practical training assessment in the Announcements section of the Institutes website under Students. It will also be available on the test portal at https://pttest.icai.org/.

 

What is remote proctoring?

 

With remote proctoring, you can take a test from the comfort of your home using your computer while being monitored by proctors trained to maintain test security. These human proctors, also known as invigilators, verify your identity and oversee your behavior during the test to ensure you follow all rules and regulations. The system also includes security features such as ID checks and room searches conducted by live proctors before the start of the test.

 

To take the ICAI Self-Paced Module (Home Based Test), candidates will need a computer with at least 2 GB RAM, webcam, microphone, and power source with a backup of at least four hours. The screen resolution should be 1920 x 1080, and the operating system should be Windows 7 or higher. Candidates should use the current version of Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox and an internet connection with a minimum speed of 1.0 Mbps. It is recommended not to use mobile hotspots for internet access.

 

The ICAI Self-Paced Module (Home Based Test) is similar to the Centre Based Test, except the former is taken on a computer at the candidates location.

 

To register for the ICAI Self-Paced Module (Home Based Test), students must log in to https://pttest.icai.org/. The registration announcement will be available in the Students section of the Institute website and the PT test portal.

 

The ICAI Self-Paced Module (Home Based Test) is not more accessible or more challenging than the Centre-Based Test as it follows the same assessment criteria.

 

A laptop or desktop computer is required to take the ICAI Self-Paced Module (Home Based Test). Mobile phones or tablets are not supported.
