FAQ 5: What are the subjects in the CA Final May  2024 ?

The entire ICAI CA Final course syllabus is divided into TWO GROUPINGS, which are further subdivided into THREE SUBJECTS.

Paper number 6 has six elective subjects from which you may choose one as your elective paper. Each paper on the new CA Final exam comprises 100 marks.

FAQ 6: How many attempts are allowed for the CA Final May  2024 ?

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) does not restrict candidates from appearing in the CA exams on any number of CA foundation attempts, CA intermediate attempts, or CA final attempts. 

Candidates can give the CA exam attempts as many times as they need to qualify for the exam. 
The only restriction by ICAI is that candidates can only fill out the exam form if the registration period is valid.

After the registration period expires, candidates must revalidate their CA registration. The fees for revalidation are different for each level. 

Payments for revalidation under the revised scheme of education and training are given as follows:

FAQ 7: Can CA students give CA Final Nov 2023 exam without Articleship?

No, according to the qualifying requirements for appearing in the CA final exam, the applicant must have completed at least 2.5 years of articleship under a practicing CA or according to ICAI standards. 

Candidates will not be able to take the exam unless they have completed the required period of articleship.

The conditions to claim an exemption in CA Final Exams are:

  • A candidate should have appeared in all the papers comprised in a group.
  • Securing a minimum of 60 marks in a paper makes one eligible for exemption and the same shall be automatically indicated in the statement of marks issued by ICAI.
  • Till the time exemption in one or more paper(s) in a group is subsisting from an earlier attempt, no further exemption shall be granted to the candidate, even on securing 60% or more marks in any paper in that group.

ICAI does not restrict students on the basis of their age. Candidates belonging to any age can register for the CA course.

FAQ 24: Can I register for the CA Final Exam anytime during the year?

Yes, the registration for CA Final exam is open throughout the year. However, candidates need to keep in mind the cutoff dates before registering themselves. 

FAQ 25: What are the CA Final ExamTimings for May 2024 ?

The exam timings for all the CA Final papers are from 2 PM to 5 PM, except for paper 6. Paper 6 will be conducted from 2 PM to 6 PM.
